Transcription
The documents are available in three different versions:
- A makeshift-transliteration which however uses Ansi-Standard-letters only and
which should be readable for any browser running on any system.
This will not work with a CSX-encoded font of course!
Here long vowels are rendered as vowels with circumflex accent:
â î û ;
If necessary full vowel signs are rendered as umlaut: So the diphthong au
can be differentiated from aü < a + u.
Retroflex consonants are represented by underlined letters:
t, n, r ; palatal s is rendered as s, retroflexe s - in
accordance with its actual pronunciation - as kh; an Anusvara is represented by
m
- A Roman transliteration using Unicode (UTF-8) which follows the common
transliteration used for Hindi and Rajasthani
- A Devanagari-version (UTF-8) mirroring the original orthography of the documents
